David Duchovny On Next X-Files Movie, Why Last One Didn't Work
David Duchovny's alright in my book. I'm a big fan of Californication and The X-Files, and while he continues to work away at the former, I think we all kind of hope that he returns as Agent Mulder in another X-Files film...regardless of how bad the last movie was (admit it, it's not good).
The actor is hoping a new film comes along (of course) and he candidly spoke to Collider about the future of the X-Files film series.
It really sounds like he didn't like Green Lantern (perhaps he wanted to play Hal Jordan, hmm, imagine that idea).

Asked if the book was closed on The X-Files, Duchovny responded:
Okay, so, he's not taking the piss out of Green Lantern and merely using it as an example, but I do like how he instantly went to that film as his example. Regarding the last film:
I would love to get an X-Files film to stand behind. I recently revisited The X-Files: Fight the Future and while it's certainly watchable, it's quite a mess, too...
