Photo: Adam Levine Stands Before a Bloody Face on the Set of American Horror Story Season 2

American Horror Story showrunner Ryan Murphy took to his Twitter acccount to post the very first set photo from the show's second season!  What do we get a look at?  Series newcomer Adam Levine.

Shooting officially began on the new season Monday.  Head inside for a larger look at Levine standing before "Bloody Face."  

The actor (and frontman of Maroon 5) will play opposite Jenna Dewan on the show and, together, their characters are being referred to as "The Lovers."

Jessica Lange, Joseph Fiennes, James Cromwell, Adam Levine, Zachary Quinto, Chloe Sevigny, Evan Peters, Britne Oldford, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Chris Zylka and Lizzie Brochere also star in the forthcoming season which is set in the '60s and against the backdrop of mental institution for the criminally insane.
