Blumhouse Productions and Dimension Films have revealed Dark Skies – a new supernatural thriller – is now set to star Keri Russell (Mission Impossible III, Waitress).
The film is the latest effort from Priest and Legion helmer Scott Stewart who is directing from a scrip that he penned.
Jason Blum (Insidious) is producing through his Blumhouse production banner. Dimension Films will distribute.
“Scott has written a terrifying script and Keri is the perfect actress to help bring his vision to the big screen,” said Jason Blum. “Blumhouse is excited to work with Dimension and Alliance on sharing Dark Skies with fans across the world.”
We revealed the plot details for the film last month. Head inside for a synopsis.
Dark Skies is described as a psychological thriller about a suburban couple whose lives become a nightmare when a terrifying alien presence enters their home each night to prey upon their children. Increasingly isolated from skeptical friends and neighbors, the couple is forced to take matters into their own hands to save their family.

*It should be note that this originally broke at Bloody-Disgusting some time ago. Blumhouse is just now confirming Russell’s inclusion with us.
