Riding on the rumors that World War Z was heading back into production for several weeks comes a THR report stating that Damon Lindelof (Lost) is being brought in to tinker with the script for the forthcoming fall reshoots.
Lindelof is currently doing press for another film he worked on, Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, opening in theaters today.
THR says that much of the work that’s going to be done on the film revolves around the third act, whether Lindelof is the right man for such work…well, that’s arguable.
Reshoots are expected to begin sometime in September or October. Marc Forster directed the film, which was slated to open this December but is now making its debut June 21, 2013.
Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos, James Badge Dale, Julia Levy-Boeken, Bryan Cranston, Danielle Kertesz, Matthew Fox and David Morse star.
