A few changes are occuring at House of Horror, the supernatural thriller produced by James Wan (Insidious). Yes, the flick – penned by Max La Bella – is still in development under Wan’s guidance, even though he’s busy at work on The Warren Files and looking ahead at Insidious 2. But this “house” is going to get built with some new faces involved.
According to Bloody-Disgusting, Maria Bello is circling a leading role. No word, yet, as to who she will play. The actress previously starred in Secret Window an A History of Violence.
B-D also backs up we have been hearing, director Xavier Gens is stepping away from the film, making way for another director who had not yet been revealed. Here is a synopsis for the film which has been around a bit:
We slowly witness an eerie change in John’s demeanour through the course of the movie. Things take a disturbing turn when John hints at the notion that he is possessed by the Devil. Detective Lewis and Dr. Klein are forced to unravel the mystery of how John’s friends were murdered. All this leads to a stunning revelation about the man they’ve been interrogating and a gut-wrenching conclusion.
