Exclusive: David Gallagher to Star in Takashi Shimizu's Scared of the Dark
Takashi Shimizu, the director of The Grudge/Ju-On series, is getting back behind the camera this summer for Scared of the Dark. The thriller will reunite Shimizu with Ghost House Pictures and Stephen Susco, who adapted Ju-On into The Grudge for the U.S. and collaborated with Shimizu on Scared of the Dark's screenplay.
David Gallagher has signed on to star. The actor appeared in last summer's Super 8 for J.J. Abrams, but it best known as Simon on 7th Heaven. In 2007, he did a bit of work for Ghost House himself, co-starring in Boogeyman 2.
Gallagher will be joined by Morgane Slemp (Friday Night Lights). Jake Webber (Dawn of the Dead, Medium) is in talks to star as well.
