MGM Has Someone in Mind for Robocop
A bit of "it's too early to tell" reporting is coming from - who else? - Deadline who has an update on the Robocop remake. Although a lot of names have been bandied about to play Alex Murphy - from Michael Fassbender to Russell Crowe - MGM has someone specific in mind.

There's not much to go on because of the nature of the "scoop," but Deadline says the studio is offering the titular role to Joel Kinnaman of The Killing. The actor can also be seen in Safe House. Jose Padilha of Elite Squad is directing the new Robocop.
