DVD: Patient Zero, Buried Alive Acquired for Release
Hannover House will expand on its current release slate, brimming with sci-fi and horror films, by adding two new acquisitions for video release this summer. Patient Zero, a zombie apocalyptic movie from director Brian T. Jaynes (Boggy Creek, Humans Vs. Zombies) will be released on DVD , Blu-ray and VOD in August; Buried Alive, a micro-budget thriller from first-time director Kevin Clark, will debut on DVD and VOD in July.
In Patient Zero, two young scientists are swept up in a government plot to suppress the truth about a biological disaster at a genetic research facility.
Buried Alive, meanwhile, concerns a young man who wakes up from a drug-induced coma, he finds himself in a coffin, buried alive. With very few clues to go on, he must race the clock to solve the mystery and escape from his tomb.
