Dracula Year Zero Finds a New Director
Okay, so perhaps Alex Proyas isn't directing Dracula Year Zero now that he is off Paradise Lost after all. Universal is moving forward on the film with someone else in mind. Variety says Gary Shore is now involved.

Proyas was long attached to helm the film which looked at the origins of Dracula when he was known as Vlad the Impaler. The leading man, at the time, was Sam Worthington. It's unknown if he'll still be aboard the project. Variety adds Matta Sazama and Burk Sharpless penned "the latest draft" of the script, however, they have been involved from the beginning. So, nothing drastic to report there. Dracula Year Zero was featured in our "Hollywood's Dracula War" column a bit ago. Read up on the film right here. |
