Video Proof ADI Created Practical Creatures for The Thing

A very cool video posted by Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc. - the FX house behind this year's The Thing prequel - takes you inside their workshop for a revealing, insightful look at how some of the creatures were created.  When the film was released in October, it took a bit of a lambasting for its excessive use of CGI.  But as the video inside shows, there was an effort to create a practical "Thing" before it was augmented with CGI.  Beware, though, there are spoilers...including a look at the eponymous intergalactic being in "pilot" form.
