Update: The final weekend total for Jennifer's Body is $6.8 million.
Karyn Kusama and Diablo Cody's Jennifer's Body took in a weak $2.8 million in its debut. Analysts say it will likely gross an estimated $7 million and come in at number five when the weekend is through. Sony's Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, the animated family film based on the book of the same name, is looking to come in at number one. Jennifer's Body's performance may be a sign that audiences are yearning for more than teen horror (see Sorority Row's lackluster turn last week). When final numbers are in, we'll update this spot.
