there better not be antoher retarded twist at the end I cant deal with another 'village'
Posted by: Death dealer on May 20, 2008 at 23:59:53
The twist to this one is that at the end of the movie, M. nightshamalala ding dong finally figures out he can't make a movie without a lame ending. I put my death mark on this one.

You expected a twist, a genius (which it was if you actually WATCH the story) twist to the Village.
Seeing a Shyamalan movie just because of that famous twist? What a poor excuse to see a film. I usually go to either have fun or to watch a good story. Amazing how we differ.
Oh, and "Shyamalamadingdong" will NEVER get old.
Pfft.
Get lives.

I can't believe that M. Night Shya-something is having the world's plants release a neurotoxin to kill people. And what is with Marky-Mark apologizing to a plant? C'mon...
Why doesn't Shya-something just say "let's save the world folks" and call it a day?
HULK SMASH puny plants and their neurotixins!!!!!!
n'yuk n'yuk...

I can't believe that some people are upset about the idea of plants retaliating. These folks obviously didn't play Final Fantasy VII, where the planet retaliates against the overuse of its resources by releasing gigantic "weapons" to terrorize and destroy areas that are main sources of the resource drain. I thought that was genious for a video game insert, but it's really genious for a film considering gas is over 4 bucks a gallon where I live and I just watched a clip where Nebraska kids are riding horses to school. How long did cars and planes exist and we just totally messed that whole thing up? Like all great things created in nature, I'm sure plants could actually potentially have a neurotoxin to release in the air to kill us off in big numbers when we get out of line. Most of these peeps on this comment board obviously haven't watched much Discovery Channel about the oddities that exist in South America.

Lonnie, sweetheart why don't you expand more on the Discovery Channel special you watched than about FFVII.

This is an interesting idea but... the acting is awful throughout, disjointed performances poor direction and again poor acting..In no hurry to see a remake..

Lonnie: You legend!
FF7 was the best game ever! love it.
I think this movie was great.
And the ending was brilliant.
Twists are what The man does, he's known for them.
And you can hate them all you want, but he's the one rolling in cash because of it.
Great movie, great plot and i cant wait for more from this guy!

Twist is what the guy is known for? It would be a twist if he made a movie that didn't totally suck. he tires me.
The Happening had the hype but sure as hell did not deliver. The Village? come on were all adults here, I think. Lady in the water- piss poor. Unbreakable could have been a decent flick if someone else would have directed. The guy is now known for crappy movies with irrelevant twist. Really, you would have to have been on an deserted island for your whole life to think the "twist" in the happening was brillant.
