Plot Summary: Maddie Curtis and her friends Lily and Suzanne are ready for a great Halloweeen night. They're going to a party thrown by their friend Angela at the notorious Broussard Mansion in New Orleans. Over eighty years ago, six people disappeared from the mansion without a trace - and the owner, Evangeline Broussard, hung herself. The dark history only serves to enhance Broussard Mansion's appeal on Halloween. At the decadent, out-of-control party, Maddie and Lily run into their exes, Colin and Dex, while Suzanne parties it up. Good times end, however, when the police bust up the party. After everyone leaves, the gang soon discover a horrible secret... that supernatural forces are at work at the Mansion, and that there may be more to the tale of Evangeline Broussard than anyone knew.

While I might not necessarily like every remake idea out there, I'm not going to go out of my way to attack the people who are excited for those films.
I don't think this will be as good as the original, but I am interested to see what the remake brings to the table. I just wish that it'd been released this October rather than the February 2010 projected release date.

Well, unfortunately it appears that this film will just go directly to DVD on February 10th. If there is going to be any theatrical release, it's going to be extremely limited.
Methinks that they should have just put up a bunch of quickie promos & aired it during October last year. It sounds like there would have been quite a few people who had been following the film's progress & would have gone even without seeing any official trailers.
Still, as long as I can see the movie I'm ok.

I too always liked this 80's blast. I doubt they will be able to capture the charm of the original but I'm lookinbg forward to it despite the lackluster of soon to be and has been actors. But hey, they have to cut the budget somewhere.

Monica Keena and Bobbi Sue Luther are hoooooot. I remember the tagline for the original: "Angela is having a party....Freddy and Jason are too scared to come." Just hope this is better than that crap sequel "Night of the Demons 2."

Every horror film has something to bring to the table... remakes in the horror genre are becoming rather impressive. I love remakes, but I cannot for the life of me remember if I saw the original or not. Time to netflix...

Love the original, have all three on DVD. The first was the best, great costume and makeup. The original Angela demon was wickedscary. I cant wait to see the remake. I thought I was the only one who liked this movie. How about a remake of D.Argentos-Demons and Demons ?
