Plot Summary: While driving across the country on their way to Las Vegas, two couples are forced to "borrow" a car from an apparently abandoned ranch house when their own vehicle breaks down in rural Utah. Little do they know that the car they took actually belonged to Rusty Nail, the cold, calculating killer who plays vicious and cruel games with his victims, often pursuing them in his ominous, black 18-wheeler truck. After one of their friends is kidnapped by the murderous trucker, the remaining travelers are forced into Rusty's violent realm to play his sinister cat-and-mouse games in an attempt to rescue their friend and stop the killer before it is too late. I can't wait to see Kyle in his role as Nic. He is such a superb and versatile actor who is going to go to the top before all is said and done so it's no surprise that I give the move a BIG thumbs up even before having seeing it.
I'm interested to see the 'sames' and 'differs' between the first movie and this one as well.
Either way, it's sure to be a thrill to watch via theatre or DVD (most likely from the sounds of things).

I cant wait to but it. im pretty sure its scary but still i like the first one. but hey guys remember everytime theres a sequel to any movie its always the first movie that is the best.

I think they should started off where they end at on the first one. Plus what happens to Paul Walker and Steve Zhan charcters? They should of kept the same actors from the first one and took off from there.

Now this looks like a torture porn movie. I never knew Joy Ride could be torture porn but they manage to make it look like it. It rather looks like The Hitcher...there was barely any blood in the first film. Sad...

Well first of all, its not his voice. You can tell big time. The first movie they pushed the truck driver and hurt his feelings, which led to his cold-blooded murders. His voice was mono-tone. This "sequel" makes him out like another generic slasher villain.

I think it would have been cool if they used the charters from the first part. but I think this will be just as good couse the Schmid can pull any thing off. I mean have you seen him play a vampire in Blood Ties if you can play a vampire that good you can to any thing. the one thin I want like is that they change rusty charter that suks. And some people are worndering why they dint start off with the same chaters. well at the end of the first one when rusty came on the CB he said " I'm looking forward to the storm. Keeps everyone inside. Washes everything clean." So if you think about it. he saying something like its over and done with. Inot ****ing with you any more. Or something like that make your own choce on that.

I think since they waited a while from the first one, the second one will be excellent. like final destination, the triolgy wasnt the greatest but they all had their moments.

Another thing...what happened to the other characters in the movie to begin with? They can't just stop in the middle of a four-some tragedy and start all over with total strangers! On the plus sucky side, they didn't even use the original Rusty Nails voice.

Ashley, some sequels are better then the first. Godfather 2, Empire Strikes Back, The Two Towers, The Dark Knight, Terminator 2. and X2. I am sure that in this case you are right that the first Joy Ride will be better but sometimes the 2nd movie passes the first.
