The Rotten Truth: Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors...Past, Present & Future

Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors has come and gone.  And, per usual, people were divided on this long-running celebration of the genre.  I've been attending since, gosh, '89 (?) - my father and I would take the Metro into New York from Connecticut and stand in the brisk weather for a good few hours just to warm ourselves in the fanboy vibe at the Penn Hotel.

Dark Delicacies: John Landis Signing, April 29th

Director John Landis (An American Werewolf in London) and author Giulia D'Agnolo Valan swung by Dark Delicacies tonight to sign copies of the latter's book - the aptly-titled John Landis.  There was a decent crowd; Landis was his usual, animated self while the soft-spoken Valan sat nearby like a timid pussycat.  Some of Landis' pals came out, like Mick Garris and Jaws scribe Carl Gottlieb (he worked alongside Landis on Amazon Women on the Moon).  I had him sign my original folded one-sheet for American Werewolf that features a special banner across the top advertising a "special sneak preview on the eve of the full moon."

"Yes, I do look most unpleasant.  This isn't Mr. Goodman's idea, he's your good friend, whereas I am a victim of your carnivorous lunar activities."

Goddammit, I love that movie.

Blurbed Again! And...Weekend of Horrors

"Battlestar" Owns My Life & "The Two Coreys"
